A Note on How to Use These Guides

START guides your journey to financial empowerment through self-ownership and accountability. This is not a budgeting program. It is a framework for understanding the roots of your money patterns, rebuilding self-trust, setting boundaries, and aligning your spending with your actual values.

Most women were never taught about financial literacy. Personal finance is a skill, meaning it can be learned. Like any skill, it develops with practice and the right information.

What does START stand for?

  • Surface your money story
  • Trace your money mindset
  • Aim at one thing
  • Release one belief holding you back
  • Take control

This journal operates on two complementary parts: a core habit you commit to daily, and weekly micro-challenges that deepen and expand that foundation.

Your core habit builds self-trust through repetition. You will choose one money habit aligned with your mindset and practice it every single day for 30 days. Self-trust is rebuilt through small kept promises — consistently, imperfectly, repeatedly. The habit is just how you practice that. Every time you follow through, even in a small way, you send yourself a message: I am someone who shows up for her financial life. The real goal is the identity shift.

Your weekly micro-challenges build financial literacy and courage through progressive exposure. Each week you will be given one small, finite challenge that asks you to look at something you may have been avoiding, try something that feels slightly uncomfortable, or practice a new behavior for seven days. These challenges are designed to expand your financial confidence incrementally — not to overwhelm you, but to prove to yourself that you can face one more thing than you could last week. Courage around money is not built in a single moment of bravery. It is built by accumulating small acts of willingness, week after week.

Research shows it takes an average of 66 days to build a lasting habit. This 30-day journal is your foundation, the first half of that journey. By the time you reach Day 30, you will not be finished. But you will be someone different than the person who opened the journal on Day 1.
